يحتوي القرآن على 114 سورة تصنف إلى مكّية ومدنية وفقًا لمكان وزمان نزول الوحي بها. ويؤمن نحن المسلمون أن القرآن أنزله الله على لسان الملَك جبريل إلى النبي محمد ﷺ على مدى 23 سنة تقريبًا، بعد أن بلغ النبي محمد ﷺ سن الأربعين، وحتى وفاته عام 11 هـ/632 م. كما نؤمن المسلمون بأن القرآن حُفظ بدقة على يد الصحابة، بعد أن نزل الوحي على النبي محمد ﷺ فحفظه وقرأه على صحابته، وأن آياته محكمات مفصلات، وأنه يخاطب الأجيال كافة في كل القرون، ويتضمن كل المناسبات ويحيط بكل الأحوال.

The Quran, also known as the Noble Quran, is the miraculous book of Allah for us Muslims. We honor and believe that it is the word of God, revealed to Muhammad ibn Abdullah for clarification and as a miracle. We also believe that it is preserved in the hearts and lines of every human being without any distortion or alteration. It has been transmitted continuously, and we worship it by reciting it. It is also the final divine book.
The Quran contains 114 chapters, classified as Meccan and Medinan according to the place and time of their revelation. We Muslims believe that Allah revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Angel Gabriel over a period of approximately 23 years, starting when the Prophet was forty years old and ending with his death in 11 AH/632 CE.
